About Our Pastor
Rev. Dr. Chermain Victoria Lashley, – an articulate communicator of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and a woman of faith who is guided by her strong conviction and firm commitment to please God and walk in her divine authority. For over 12 years, this fearless mother of five, has held various positions in the United Methodist Church including service on the National Board of Congress and Evangelism. Rev. Lashley’s passion is to point people to the healing power of Christ, and she is driven by her deep desire to minister to women, children and families through faith nurturing to help move them beyond their pain and brokenness. As God continues to direct His word through his appointed servants, Rev. Lashley celebrates God’s call upon her life and believes that it is her act of complete surrender that unlocks the great possibilities in pursuit of her divine purpose. She accepted Christ at the age of 11, and fully embraced her ministry call in 1998, but the power of Chermain’s ministry grows out of her remarkable testimony of God’s healing virtue in her life. In 2004, she received her Masters of Divinity from Drew Theological Seminary, and in May 2017 she received her Doctor of Ministry Degree from New York Theological Seminary in New York. Rev Lashley has accepted the assignment to equipping the next generations. This is made evident through various workshops, conferences and retreats where over 200 youth and young adults gather away on a mountain to seek God’s healing and deliverance. For 11 years, she served as the Pastor of the Kings Highway United Methodist Church in Brooklyn NY, and as of July 1, 2017, she began serving as the Senior Pastor at Grace United Methodist Church of St. Albans.
